Double tap the button on the side of the band to start recording. A green LED will light up to confirm it's capturing. That's all you need to do — Biyo runs quietly in the background for the rest of your day.
No. Biyo records offline. Leave your phone at your desk, go into a meeting, walk around — the band captures everything independently. When you're back in range, it syncs automatically and the app organises everything.
Single tap pauses recording — the LED turns amber. Nothing is captured while paused. Single tap again to resume. Double tap to stop completely and end the session. The LED will turn off to confirm.
Biyo listens for things that matter — reminders, ideas, shopping items, calendar mentions, tasks and questions. It organises them automatically in the app. Say "remind me to call James on Monday" and you'll get a notification that day. Say "I need milk" and it goes straight to your shopping list. You don't have to speak in commands — just talk normally.
Yes. While recording is on, Biyo recognises when you're asking it a question directly. Ask aloud and the answer arrives as a notification on your phone. "Is the Earth flat?" → "No. Earth is roughly spherical." It works like having a quiet assistant on your wrist.
Biyo works with iOS and Android. You'll need the Biyo app installed on your phone to receive organised notes, reminders and notifications. The band itself records independently of your phone.
Recording laws vary by country and context. In many places, you can record conversations you're part of. In others, all parties need to consent. It's your responsibility to follow the recording laws in your region. We recommend letting people know when you're recording in professional or sensitive settings. The pause function is there for exactly those moments.
On your phone. Your recordings and organised data are stored locally on your device, not on Biyo's servers. We don't have access to what you record.
Never. Your data is not a product. We have no advertising business, no data partnerships, and no interest in your recordings. What you say stays with you.
Yes — any recording, any note, or your entire history. Whenever you want. When you delete something, it's gone. No archive. No backup we're keeping somewhere. Gone means gone.
When you ask Biyo to add a calendar event or create a task, that specific piece of information is sent to the connected app — Google Calendar, Outlook, Todoist etc. Only the data relevant to that action is shared. Your full recordings are never sent to third-party apps.

Everything captured up to that point is saved and will sync to your app when you charge the band and reconnect. Nothing is lost. The band stores recordings onboard until it can transfer them.
